Ruby Wines unveils reorganization and new senior management team.

10.26.2011 - Ruby Wines announced three new senior management positions today. David Browne, formerly Portfolio Manager, will assume the role of Vice President – Portfolio Management, reporting to Brad Rubin. David will be in charge of all supplier relations – pricing, promotions and marketing. All portfolio managers will report to David. Commenting on Mr. Browne, Brad Rubin said "David has over 20 years of industry experience, working for distributors, suppliers and owning his own wholesale company. His leadership will add to and maximize our success with our supplier partners."

John Pettine, formerly Vice President -Supplier Relations, will be appointed to the new position of Vice President – Spirits. John will direct the new and emerging boutique spirits division. Bob Rubin mentioned "John has incredible industry knowledge and respect. He will have and incredible impact on managing this important growth part of our company."

Scott McAdams, formerly Division Manager, will be appointed to the new position of Vice President – National Accounts. Scott will be responsible for all ON and OFF premise National Accounts as well as designated local chains. He will report to Bill Browne, Vice President Retail Sales, who stated "Scott has been with Ruby Wines for over 10 years and has strong business acumen that will bring energy to the chain segment of our company."

Wayne Niemi, will retain his role as Executive Vice President - General Manager ."We are extremely excited that the Rubin family has provided the support, investment and commitment to make these strategic decisions and promote David, John and Scott. In a sometimes volatile industry, we feel we are ahead of the changing landscape that we see in Massachusetts with our new structure and we cannot be more excited for the future."

Bob Rubin, President and CEO, stated "Our most valuable asset is our employees. We strive to maintain exemplary relationships with our customers and suppliers." Brad and Anne Rubin of Ruby Wines (Avon, MA)

Brad and Anne's son, 9-year-old Cam, drew a picture of Bruins center David Krejci in school and decided to make the picture into stickers for thank you notes. After the Rubins visited Vignamaggio winery in Italy this past summer, Cam sent them one of his Krejci thank you notes.

What happened next? Vignamaggio contacted the Rubins and got permission to use Cam's Krejci picture on a label of one of their wines!
